We believe social franchising can play a major role in creating employment for disadvantaged people and generally growing the social economy across Europe.
We are inviting leading exponents of social franchising and others who can support its development to the above Seminar to help realise this ambition. We would like to invite you to contribute to this Seminar.
The Seminar will be as interactive as possible and designed to foster the development of social franchising. It will
• gather and analyse experiences from social franchisors across Europe;
• engage and develop active networks of social franchisors
• create a better understanding of start up finance needs of social franchisors
• develop effective strategies for the development of social franchising.
The workshop is one of five strands of the “The Network for the Better Future of the Social Economy” project. The project is coordinated by five European Social Fund Managing Authorities from Poland, Belgium, Sweden, the Czech Republic, and Italy). The purpose of the Project is to establish a European network of institution involved in the development of the social economy in order to exchange knowledge, experiences and share best practice. The Social Franchising strand is being led by the European Social Franchising Network (ESFN), which has been established by some of the leading European social franchises (see www.socialfranchsising.coop for more information) and grew out of Equal transnational programmes. ESFN is a newly established organisations set up to
1. Promote the concept of social franchising and the social franchise offer of our members
2. Facilitate the development of best practice in social franchising and in our membership
3. Create a positive environment for the development of social franchising
The workshop will be held in Hostel SUGENOVA , part of the Le Mat Hotel group, which is itself a social franchise set up to promote sustainable tourism and employ disadvantaged people. We are inviting 20 participants to the workshop; social franchisors, experts and representatives from the ESF partners (ESF). The participants will come from UK, Sweden, Denmark, Poland, Germany, Belgium, France, Czech Republic, Italy and other European Countries.

We will cover reasonable transport costs for (in tourist class or similar) and your accommodation and meals (Thursday-Saturday).
